February Favorites 2018

March 4, 2018

As we enter March and leave February behind, I thought it would be fun to reflect on the things I both loved and used very frequently this past month. Rather than choosing 20 or so items that I liked this month, I decided to narrow it down to five things that I really loved. I hope you enjoy seeing my favorites of this month and please let me know if you would like to see more of these posts in the future.

1. Boys in the Boat.

Though I have yet to finish this book (I'm only on page 150 or so), I can definitely say that this is one you've got to pick up. As someone who is not too great at summaries, I'm going to leave it up to you to do a little more research about this novel. If you enjoyed reading Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken, I guarantee you will enjoy this book as well, and if you have not read Unbroken, now you have another book to put on your reading list!

2. Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm.

Because I am someone who gets very dry lips in the winter months,  I have to constantly apply chapstick to my lips in order to keep them moisturized. I received this lip balm for Christmas from Anthropologie and I absolutely love it. I especially like how you can squeeze it out of the bottle rather than having to take off the cap and adjust the height like with most chapsticks.

3. Ugg moccasins.

I also received these moccasins for Christmas and have been wearing them nonstop this month. They are so comfortable and easy to slip on, and are super cute as well!

4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.

As I mentioned, my skin gets very dry in the cold weather, so having a good moisturizer is especially important for me during the wintertime. This ultra repair cream really does feel as if it is "repairing" my dry, wind-chapped face, and it really sinks into my skin.

5. Stabile colorful pens.

If you know me, you know that I absolutely love taking colorful notes with different pens and markers, and these pens have worked super well for me this past month. I recently found them while cleaning out a drawer in my house with my mom and immediately called dibs! In reality, though, my mom had received them as a gift last Christmas and hadn't even opened them yet, so she "re-gifted" them to me instead.
