Books on My Reading List: Summer 2018

May 3, 2018

The Elizas, by Sara Shepard.

I recently was perusing through the New York Times when I came across an article introducing Sara Shepard's new book, The Eliza's. For those of you who do not know, Sara Shepard is the author of the Pretty Little Liars series. Though I never actually read the Pretty Little Liars books, I was absolutely obsessed with the TV show, so I decided to add this to my reading list.

We Should All Be Feminists, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

I recently watched a Ted Talk for my storytelling class by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie about the power of the single story. She was a beautiful speaker and was so inspiring, and I can't wait to read her book.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, by Jamie Ford.

My mom read this book a while ago and loved it. Because she loved it so much and also because we share interest in many of the same books, she recommended it to me.

All The Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr.

This is another book my mom read, but she finished this one very recently - only a week or two ago. I actually started this book several months ago but only read the sample section  provided through kindle. From the small portion I read, I could tell that I was going to really enjoy this book. It seemed to be written very well, and I am also very attracted to novels (either fiction or non-fiction) that are written about or around the time of World War II.
