Days in DC: July 25 - 28

July 31, 2019

I have been fortunate enough to spend much of the month of July exploring the museums, restaurants, and neighborhoods of DC. In honor of all of the time I have spent in this wonderful city, I created a mini series on my blog entitled "Days in DC" where I share my favorite photographs I captured whilst exploring the city.

While I do try to divide up my photographs into categories for a more organized and visually appealing post, through this series I hoped to simply convey via my photographs my love for this city as well as share with you the people, places, and things that caught my eye and inspired me to pick up my camera and capture that special moment in time.

I hope you find value in these photographs, and please do not hesitate to ask me in the comments about any of the hotels, restaurants, or areas I mentioned. If you would like to see more photographs from the time I have spent in DC, I have linked the other posts in this series below.

My mom and I stopped into the Conrad Hotel in City Center to check out their restaurant as well as to quell our curiosity over what the interior of the hotel looked like. The hotel was very modern, with sleek marble floors, monochrome furniture, and extremely high ceilings. I fell in love with the artful ceiling on the second floor of the hotel, as pictured below.
My mom, my aunts and I took my little cousins to the National Air and Space Museum. Though it was very crowded (as it usually always is), it was a great way to escape the brutal heat and of course admire the various aircraft vehicles extending down from the massive ceilings. We watched Journey Into Space, an IMAX movie which my cousins loved due to its 3D nature, and we also visited an interactive section of the museum created specifically for kids.
